The British-American Business Council (BABC) is the largest transatlantic business network, with more than 30 chapters and 3,500 member companies based in major regions throughout North America and the United Kingdom.

As well as providing practical business benefits and opportunities for members, the BABC is also concerned to promote a positive transatlantic policy environment to assist them in the efficient and profitable conduct of their business.
Its membership includes many of the world's largest multinationals, as well as hundreds of middle market companies; and it enjoys the support of an International Advisory Board which includes the Chairmen and Chief Executives of more than 50 major multinationals as well as the UK and US Ambassadors.

Its chapters and member companies participate in the BABC to gain access to a broader transatlantic business network and to a wide range of marketing, networking and business intelligence benefits and opportunities.

The BABC also works with government to promote a positive transatlantic trade/investment policy environment, to assist its members in the profitable conduct of their business; and keeps its members advised of policy issues that may impact on their business through its Policy Focus. It has designated BritishAmerican Business (its London/New York chapter) to take the lead for the BABC on these issues; and a Transatlantic Steering Committee, which includes its policy leaders in London and Washington, DC, guides and oversees its policy program. The BABC also keeps members advised of policy issues that may impact on their business by distributing Policy Focus.
